General Information

Arundhati Institute of Medical Sciences is located in Dundigal, Hyderabad, offering exceptional healthcare services to the community.

Working Hours

The college operates from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on all working days, ensuring accessible education. Simultaneously, the hospital operates round the clock, providing 24/7 emergency services. Furthermore, the Central Library remains open from 8:30 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. on working days, and from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on holidays, offering extensive resources.

Staff Uniform

All staff at Arundhati Institute of Medical Sciences wear color-coded uniforms, which helps maintain a professional environment. Moreover, each staff member wears a white apron and an AIMS identification card, ensuring easy identification.

Casualty and Emergency Services

The Casualty and Emergency services operate 24/7, ensuring immediate care for urgent cases. In addition, we have established a separate emergency section for the OBG department, which is attached to the labor room.

The casualty ward provides 25 beds, central oxygen supply, and central suction, along with essential emergency equipment like defibrillators. Additionally, the ward connects to a well-equipped emergency operating theater, which includes anesthesia and resuscitation facilities.

Casualty Medical Officers and Resident Doctors remain available 24/7. Consultants are also on-call around the clock, ensuring immediate attention to emergencies.

We attend to emergency cases promptly and efficiently. To facilitate swift service, the radiology, central laboratory, and pharmacy departments are located adjacent to the casualty ward.

OPD Services

Arundhati Institute of Medical Sciences offers spacious OPD healthcare facilities, which cater to all patients by providing specialized care across multiple departments. These include General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, OBG, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dermatology, TB Chest, Psychiatry, and Dentistry, each equipped with dedicated OPD facilities.

Additionally, each department includes consultation rooms, waiting halls, registration counters, procedure rooms, and clinical demonstration rooms, ensuring comprehensive care and ample space for teaching and clinical demonstrations.

OPD Timings

General OPD operates from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., ensuring convenient access to healthcare services.

Diagnostic Services

The Central Laboratory provides diagnostic services 24/7, performing routine and specialized tests. Moreover, utilizing the latest technology, the lab houses departments like Pathology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.

Furthermore, our hospital employs a Laboratory Information System (LIS), which ensures speedier and accurate report generation. Meanwhile, the Radiology Department features two portable X-ray machines, two 500mA machines, and two ultrasound machines with Doppler.

Cafeteria

We provide a canteen within the hospital premises that serves hygienic food at nominal prices, ensuring patients and visitors have access to affordable meals.

Support Services and Facilities

Arundhati Institute of Medical Sciences offers wheelchairs and stretchers for disabled patients, which enhances accessibility. Additionally, we provide lifts and ramps for easy patient movement.

To support emergency services, we maintain 24-hour UPS and backup generators. Furthermore, we supply free food and mineral water to in-patients, ensuring comfort during their stay. Additionally, clean and hygienic washroom facilities are available for patients and their attendants.

Moreover, AIMS enforces a strict Tobacco-Free Campus policy to promote overall health and well-being.

Investigation Process

After consultation, the treating doctor prescribes necessary investigations on the outpatient slip. Meanwhile, patients below the poverty line must complete a requisition form for various investigations at the designated counter.

Biochemistry, Pathology, and Microbiology tests are conducted at the Central Lab, located on the ground floor of the main building. Admission decisions rest solely with the treating doctor, ensuring appropriate care.

Medical Certificates and Admissions

The CMO, RMO, or treating doctors issue medical fitness certificates, medical leave certificates, in-patient discharge certificates, and wound certificates. These certificates are provided upon payment of the prescribed fees at the cash counter.

Patient Assistance

We provide wheelchairs and stretcher trolleys free of cost at the OPD entrance, ensuring accessibility. Additionally, we ensure adequate seating arrangements for waiting patients, which provides comfort and convenience.

Visiting Hours

Visiting hours at Arundhati Institute of Medical Sciences are as follows:

  • 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
  • 4:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Every complaint will be acknowledged, and we will make sincere attempts to resolve issues promptly. Additionally, we welcome your feedback and constructive suggestions, which can be addressed to the Dean or Medical Superintendent.

Eligibility for MBBS Admissions

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens or children or dependents of Non-Resident Indians.

Qualification: The Competent Authority, Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, Telangana, fills the seats based on NEET Marks or NEET Ranks. The university issues annual admission notifications.

Candidates must have completed the higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to 10+2, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Candidates with different qualifications may need a year of pre-professional training before admission.

Additionally, candidates with degrees in science, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, from recognized universities may also qualify. Only those who pass the NEET (UG) conducted by the NTA, with specific percentile requirements based on their category, will be considered for admission.

Age Requirement: Applicants must complete 17 years of age on or before December 31st of the admission year, as per NMC regulations.

Foreign students and NRI candidates are eligible for admission under the Management Quota Category – C Seats.

General Category (OC): Candidates must obtain at least 50% in science subjects.

BC/SC/ST Candidates: Must obtain at least 40% in science subjects.

OC PH Candidates: Must obtain at least 45% in science subjects.

Candidates must qualify in the NEET Examination with the required percentile based on their category.

Reservations do not apply to B and C categories. We strictly adhere to NMC norms in the admission process, ensuring transparency and fairness.
